医学・メディアデザイン学博士、詩人
▼略歴
医学とメディアデザイン学の2つの博士号を持つ独立系研究者。日本のインターネット普及のきっかけになった通信機器MN-128シリーズ（NTTより発売）の開発、日本初のデジタル認証サービス企業の立ち上げなどを手がける。1997年、情報セキュリティ技術専門会社オープンループを起業、社長として2001年に同社をナスダックジャパン（現：大阪証券取引所）上場に導く。米国のバイオテクノロジー企業などを経て、現在は複数の専門分野（IT、暗号学、医学、数学、メディアデザイン学、色彩学）を持つ独立系研究者として活躍。2010年には、色弱の人ために、色を見やすく見分けやすくするための色覚補助ツール「色のめがね」と、一般の人が色弱の人の色の見え方を体験することができる「色のシミュレータ」を開発、2011年には、老視・白内障・弱視などの人ための読字補助ツール「明るく大きく」を開発し、すべて無償でリリースしている。これらのソフトウェアは、世界中の約10万人の人々に愛用されている。

Biography:
An independent scientist who has two Ph.D.s (Medical Science and Media Design.) Developed the MN-128 series (digital communication equipment sold by NTT) that triggered the spread of the Internet in Japan, and established the Japanese first digital certification authority company. Established an information security technology company, which is called the OPENLOOP Inc. in Sapporo in 1997 and led to listing the company on NASDAQ Japan (Osaka Stock Exchange now) in 2001 as president and CEO. And through a biotechnology company in U.S., etc., he is currently working as an independent scientist who has multi-expertise: Information Technology, Cryptography, Bio Technology, Mathematics, Media Technology and Color Science. Recently, as the result of research of color science, he developed a color vision assistance tool, called the “Chromatic Glass” which increases color visibility and enhances the ability of distinguish color for color deficient individuals, and the “Chromatic Vision Simulator” which shows how color deficient individuals see the color for color normal individuals in 2010, and the reading assistance tool “Brighter and Bigger” for presbyopia, cataracts, and low vision in 2011. These software are released free and are used by about 100,000 people throughout the world.
